dc.description.abstractΤομή στο κομματικό σύστημα αποτελεί το 2012 καθώς συντελέστηκε η ανατροπή του μεταπολιτευτικού δικομματισμού. Η Αριστερά με αιχμή τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ αναγορεύεται σε κυρίαρχο πόλο του πολιτικού συστήματος ενώ ο συντηρητικός πόλος αναδύθηκε διασπασμένος σε δύο ιδεολογικά ρεύματα, την κεντροδεξιά και την άκρα δεξιά. Με αφετηρία το 2019 και την επιστροφή της συντηρητικής παράταξης στη διακυβέρνηση της χώρας έκλεισε η δεκαετία της κρίσης και άρχισε να ισχύει ο ασθενής δικομματισμός στο ελληνικό πολιτικό σύστημα. Μετά τη διπλή εκλογική αναμέτρηση του 2023 ο ασύμμετρος δικομματισμός εμφανίζεται και εδραιώνεται, με τον πόλο της εξουσίας να αποτελείται από την κεντροδεξιά παράταξη και τον πόλο της αντιπολίτευσης να εμφανίζεται εντελώς κατακερματισμένος ανάμεσα σε κόμματα της κεντροαριστεράς, στην ακροδεξιά και την ακροαριστερά. Στην παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή εργασία μέσω της ανάλυσης των εκλογικών αποτελεσμάτων διερευνάται ο μετασχηματισμός του κομματικού συστήματος και η μετατόπιση του άξονα προς το κέντρο, αφήνοντας χώρο σε εξτρεμιστικές κομματικές εκφράσεις να τοποθετηθούν στα άκρα του πολιτικού φάσματος. Κατά δεύτερο λόγο, εξετάζονται τα μοτίβα ανανέωσης και επανεκλογής των βουλευτών/-τριών της περιόδου από το 2009 έως το 2023. Μέσω της χαρτογράφησης της κοινοβουλευτικής αντιπροσώπευσης πολιτικού προσωπικού και κομμάτων αποδεικνύεται ότι αναδύεται μια νέα γενιά πολιτικών προσώπων με επαγγελματισμό και ικανότητες επιρροής, τάση που κορυφώθηκε την τριετία 2012 – 2015 και συνέχισε να ισχύει σε μικρότερο βαθμό την περίοδο 2019 – 2023. Η μελέτη ολοκληρώνεται με μια απόπειρα ένταξης της ελληνικής περίπτωσης στη θεωρητική συζήτηση για την πολυσυλλεκτικότητα των σύγχρονων πολιτικών κομμάτων.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedA turning point in the Greek party system was the year 2012, when the two-party system that had remained stable since the 1974 transition from the Colonels’ Regime, collapsed. The Left, and in specific, the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) became the dominant pole of the political system, while the conservative pole became fragmented into two distinct ideological directions, the centre-right and the far-right. With starting point the year 2019 and the return of the conservative party into power, a stunted two-party system started prevailing in the country’s political system. Following the parliamentary elections of 2023, a fragmented two-party system emerged in the political system, with one dominant pole being the centre-right party and a fragmented Opposition pole with many alternatives among the centre-left, far-right and far-left parties. By analysing the election results of the period 2009 – 2023, this Masters dissertation examines the transformation of the Greek party system as well as the parties’ shift towards the centre of the political spectrum, thus leaving space to the radical right parties to position themselves on the axis. Second, the dissertation focuses on patterns of renewal and continuity in the Greek Parliament. The data includes information about MPs from the parliamentary elections in 2009 through to 2023. I argue that the renewal of political generations is more evident during times of crises. This classification will yield two distinct types of political generations which developed in consecutive order, namely the MPs who took up their seats in the Greek Parliament for the first time in 2012 to 2015, and the ones who entered Parliament in 2019 through to 2023. The dissertation concludes with a discussion of the contemporary Greek parties’ catch-all character.el
