| dc.description.abstract | Η διπλωματική αυτή εργασία πραγματεύεται τη συμβολή των γυναικών στον τομέα του αθλητισμού από το 1830 περίοδο σύστασης του νεοελληνικού κράτους μέχρι και την εμπλοκή της Ελλάδας στον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο το 1940. Ο αθλητισμός συνιστά σημαντικό κεφάλαιο στην ιστορία του πολιτισμού καθώς δίδαξε τις αρχές του Ολυμπισμού. Αν και από την αρχαιότητα υπήρξε πεδίο δράσης των αντρών και μέχρι και τον δεύτερο παγκόσμιο πόλεμο ο γυναικείος αθλητισμός αγωνιζόταν να εξελιχθεί. Στην εν λόγω εργασία επιχειρείται η καταγραφή της σταδιακής συμμετοχής της γυναίκας στα αθλητικά δρώμενα, ενώ αναδεικνύονται και οι σημαντικές πτυχές της παρουσίας της στον χώρο του αθλητισμού. | el |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This thesis deals with the contribution of women in the field of sport from the 1830s period of the establishment of the modern Greek state until the involvement of Greece in the Second World War in 1940. Sport constitutes an important chapter in the history of civilization as it taught the principles of Olympism. Although since antiquity it has been the domain of men and until the Second World War women's athletics struggled to develop. This paper attempts to record the gradual participation of women in sporting events and highlights the important aspects of their presence in the field of sport. | el |
