dc.description.abstractΗ ακόλουθη διατριβή διεξήχθη αφού ερευνήθηκε η υπάρχουσα κατάσταση στο υποσύστημα της Υποσαχάριας Αφρικής (SSA) και οι παράγοντες που συμβάλλουν στην Αφρική στο σύνολό της να διεκδικεί μια θέση στην παγκόσμια σκακιέρα ως νέος παγκόσμιος δρών, χρησιμοποιώντας το παράδειγμα της ανόδου της Νότιας Αφρικής. Πρώτον, θα γίνει μια εισαγωγή για τα μέρη που συμμετέχουν στην αφρικανική ήπειρο και θα δώσουμε τον ορισμό της ανάδυσης και πώς λειτουργεί αυτή σύμφωνα με τους ερευνητές. Οι βασικοί παράγοντες θα είναι η Υποσαχάρια Αφρική (SSA), η Αφρικανική Ένωση (AU), η Νότια Αφρική και η ομάδα BRICS. Επιπλέον, στην εισαγωγή θα αναφερθούμε στον τρόπο με τον οποίο η Κίνα αλληλεπιδρά με τις χώρες της SSA και πως δρα στην αφρικανική ήπειρο. Δεύτερον, θα στρέψουμε την προσοχή μας αποκλειστικά στη Νότια Αφρική, με μια ιστορική αναδρομή που θα αφορά τις διεθνείς σχέσεις του κράτους πριν και μετά την πτώση του Απαρτχάιντ και ειδικά τη δράση του νοτιοαφρικανικού κράτους στους διεθνείς οργανισμούς των οποίων μετέχει, όπως την Κοινότητα για την ανάπτυξη της Μεσημβρινής Αφρικής (SADC) και τις BRICS. Η μελέτη περίπτωσης θα επικεντρωθεί κυρίως στην άνοδο του κράτους της Νότιας Αφρικής, τόσο όσον αφορά την περιοχή SSA όσο και το πολυπολικό διεθνές σύστημα. Επίσης, θα ερευνήσουμε τις διμερείς διεθνείς σχέσεις της Νότιας Αφρικής και της Κίνας και το παράδοξο αυτής της συνεργασίας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThe following dissertation has been conducted after having researched into the existing situation in the sub system of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and the factors that contribute to Africa as a whole claiming its place in the worlds’ chess board as a new global player, using the example of the rise of South Africa. Firstly, there will be an introduction about the parties involved in the African continent and we will define what an emergence is and how it works according to researchers. The main actors will be the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), the African Union (AU), the South Africa and BRICS. Also, in the introduction we will refer to how China interacts with the SSA countries and acts in the African continent. Secondly, we will turn our focus exclusively on South Africa, with a chronology trying to pinpoint how the international relations of the state were before and after the Apartheid fell especially within the sub systems’ international organizations, such as Southern African Development Community (SADC) and BRICS. The case study will focus mainly on the rise of the state of South Africa, both in terms of the SSA region and the worlds global system. Also we will research on the bilateral international relations of South Africa and China and this partnership of paradoxes.el
