| dc.description.abstract | Όταν ο Ηράκλειτος διαπίστωνε ότι «πόλεμος πατήρ πάντων εστί», δεν εξέφραζε μία άποψη περιθωριακή ή ακραία. Μάλλον διατύπωνε αυτό που για τους περισσότερους Έλληνες ήταν δεδομένο: ο πόλεμος ήταν αναπόσπαστο μέρος της καθημερινότητάς τους και η μάχη αναπόδραστη μοίρα της ζωής του μέσου πολίτη. Με δεδομένη αυτήν την αδιάρρηκτη σχέση της αρχαίας κοινωνίας και του πολέμου, φυσική συνέχεια θα ήταν μια διερεύνηση της σχέσης του πολέμου με την οικονομία των αρχαιοελληνικών πόλεων-κρατών. Οι τελευταίοι πόλεμοι έχουν αποδείξει ότι αν επιτύχει κάποιος την αεροπορική κυριαρχία τότε μπορεί να έχει πολλές πιθανότητες να στεφθεί νικητής. Στις μέρες ειρήνης η δύναμη αυτή δρα σαν αποτρεπτικός παράγοντας σε όποιον σκέφτεται να απειλήσει κυριαρχικά δικαιώματα και ας μην χαρακτηρίζεται και πόλεμος μερικές φορές. Βασιζόμενοι λοιπόν στο ρητό του Ηράκλειτου και προσπαθώντας να το φέρουμε στα σύγχρονα δεδομένα διαπιστώνουμε ότι στην Ελληνική επικράτεια αυτή η απειλή συνεχίζει να υφίσταται. Έτσι λοιπόν η εργασία αυτή συνδυαζόμενη με την οικονομική κρίση που πέρασε η χώρα μας τελευταία θα μας προβληματίσει κατά πόσο είναι σημαντικό οι οικονομικοί πόροι να διανέμονται επιτυχημένα σε έναν τόσο βασικό πυλώνα του κράτους όπου λέγεται εθνική ασφάλεια και συγκεκριμένα στην πολεμική αεροπορία. | el |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | When Heraclitus stated that "war is the father of all", he was not expressing a marginal or extreme opinion. Rather, he was articulating what for most Greeks was a given: war was an integral part of their daily life and battle an inescapable fate of the average citizen's life. Given this inextricable relationship between ancient society and war, a natural continuation would be an investigation of the relationship between war and the economy of the ancient Greek city-states. Recent wars have proven that if one achieves air supremacy then one can stand a good chance of being crowned the victor. In days of peace, this power acts as a deterrent to anyone who thinks of threatening sovereign rights, let alone war sometimes. Therefore, relying on the saying of Heraclitus and trying to bring it to the modern facts, we find that in the Greek territory this threat continues to exist. So this work, combined with the economic crisis that our country has recently gone through, will make us wonder how important it is that financial resources are successfully distributed to such a key pillar of the state where it is called national security and specifically in the Hellenic airforce. | el |
