dc.description.abstractΣτον αιώνα που διανύουμε, η καθολική πρόσβαση και η συμμετοχή στη γνώση και στον πολιτισμό αποτελεί αναφαίρετο δικαίωμα των πολιτών κάθε σύγχρονου δημοκρατικού κράτους, όπως προκύπτει από τη διεθνή, ευρωπαϊκή και εθνική νομοθεσία και τα θεσμικά κείμενα παγκόσμιων οργανισμών. Ωστόσο, ενώ η παραπάνω θέση ηχεί ως αυτονόητη, στην πραγματικότητα συμβαίνει η όποια απόκλιση από τα ιδεατά πρότυπα θέτει η ίδια η κοινωνία, να συνεπάγεται τον αποκλεισμό ατόμων ή ομάδων του πληθυσμού από ποικίλες δραστηριότητες της πολιτικής, οικονομικής και κοινωνικής ζωής, οδηγώντας στην περιθωριοποίησή τους. Η παρούσα εργασία εστιάζει το ενδιαφέρον της στην ομάδα των ατόμων με αναπηρία (ΑμεΑ), η ένταξη της οποίας στον κοινωνικό ιστό θεωρείται σήμερα περισσότερο από ποτέ ως αδήριτη ανάγκη για την ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής συνοχής και τη βιωσιμότητα της ίδιας της κοινωνίας. Πρόσφορο μέσο προς αυτή την κατεύθυνση ερευνάται εάν μπορεί να καταστεί ο Πολιτισμός, ως πεδίο άρρηκτα συνδεδεμένο με την κοινωνική ζωή και συνιστώσα κοινωνικής ένταξης και ενδυνάμωσης, με μέσο τις δημιουργικές τέχνες, η θεραπευτική λειτουργία των οποίων αναγνωρίζεται ιδιαίτερα κατά τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Η ανάδειξη της σημαντικότατης αυτής διάστασης του Πολιτισμού και των τεχνών ως εργαλείων για την προσωπική ανάπτυξη και ταυτόχρονα για την κοινωνική ένταξη των ανάπηρων ατόμων, πρωταρχικά όμως ο προβληματισμός της κοινής γνώμης αναφορικά με το επίκαιρο όσο ποτέ ζήτημα της αναπηρίας, η οποία δυνητικά μπορεί να μας αγγίξει όλους σε κάποιο στάδιο της ζωής μας και η αφύπνιση της κοινωνίας με στόχο τον κοινωνικό μετασχηματισμό, ευελπιστούμε να αποτελέσουν τη συμβολή της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedDuring the course of this century, universal access to and participation in knowledge and culture has risen to be an inalienable right of the citizens of every modern democratic state, as evidenced by international, european and national legislation as well as the institutional texts of world organizations. However, even though the above position appears to be self-evident, any deviation from the ideal standards -set by society itself- in fact suggests the exclusion of individuals or groups of the population from various activities of political, economical and social life, which, in turn, leads to their marginalization. The work at hand focuses on the disabled and their integration into society as a whole, which nowadays is presented as an essential prerequisite in order for social cohesion to be strengthened. Being a field inextricably linked to social life and a component of social inclusion and empowerment, it is to be examined whether culture, through the creative arts and their recently recognized therapeutic function, can become an appropriate means in this direction. It is our sincere hope that this postgraduate thesis shall contribute towards the emergence of this very important dimension of Culture and the Arts as tools for personal development and, at the same time, for achieving social cohesion. Nevertheless, the first and foremost priority of this project has always been to sensitize the public opinion about the ever-current issue of disability, which can potentially touch us all sometime in our lives, and to induce an awakening of society toward social transformation.el
