dc.description.abstractΗ παρούσα μελέτη διερευνά το φαινόμενο της έμφυλης βίας στην Ελλάδα, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στις γυναικοκτονίες, όπως αυτές παρουσιάζονται στον ηλεκτρονικό Τύπο καθώς και ζητήματα πρόσληψης από το κοινό, η έρευνα εξετάζει το νομικό πλαίσιο, και τον κοινωνικό αντίκτυπό τους και στην αντιμετώπιση της έμφυλης βίας. Μέσα από την ανάλυση συγκεκριμένων περιπτώσεων έμφυλης βίας που καλύφθηκαν από τον ηλεκτρονικό Τύπο, η μελέτη διερευνά τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι αφηγήσεις των μέσων ενημέρωσης επηρεάζουν την κοινή γνώμη και διαιωνίζουν τα στερεότυπα των φύλων. Επιπλέον, η έρευνα εξετάζει τις θεσμικές ελλείψεις και προτείνει πρακτικές για την ενίσχυση των μηχανισμών πρόληψης, προστασίας και δίωξης. Τα ευρήματα υπογραμμίζουν την ανάγκη νομοθετικών μεταρρυθμίσεων, όπως η επίσημη αναγνώριση της γυναικοκτονίας ως διακριτό έγκλημα, καθώς και τον κρίσιμο ρόλο της εκπαίδευσης, και του ηλεκτρονικού Τύπου στο ζήτημα της ευαισθητοποίησης για την καταπολέμηση της έμφυλης βίας με στόχο την ανάπτυξη μιας πιο συμπεριληπτικής και δίκαιης κοινωνίας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis study investigates the phenomenon of gender-based violence in Greece, with particular emphasis on femicide, as it is presented in the electronic Press, as well as issues of public perception. The research examines the legal framework, and their social impact and in addressing gender-based violence. Through the analysis of specific cases of gender-based violence covered by the electronic Press, the study explores the way in which media narratives influence public opinion and perpetuate gender stereotypes. In addition, the research examines institutional shortcomings and suggests practices for strengthening prevention, protection and prosecution mechanisms. The findings highlight the need for legislative reforms, such as the official recognition of femicide as a distinct crime, as well as the critical role of education and the electronic Press in raising awareness to combat gender-based violence with the aim of developing a more inclusive and just society.el
