dc.description.abstractΟι Γεωγραφικές Ενδείξεις και οι Ονομασίες Προέλευσης αποτελούν συλλογικά δικαιώματα διανοητικής ιδιοκτησίας των παραγωγών αγροτροφίμων και ποτών, των οποίων η φήμη ή οι ιδιότητες απορρέουν από τη στενή τους σχέση με τον τόπο παραγωγής τους. Διαχρονικά έχουν αποτελέσει αντικείμενο νομοθετικής ρύθμισης, που στο σύγχρονο παγκοσμιοποιημένο περιβάλλον απαιτεί σύγκλιση και συμφωνία μεταξύ των κρατών, προκειμένου να καταστεί δυνατή η προστασία των ΓΕ και να αξιοποιηθεί η δυναμική οφέλους που περικλείουν. Προσδίδουν διάκριση και υπεραξία στα προϊόντα που χαρακτηρίζουν και συνδέονται με παραμέτρους που αφορούν την οικονομία, την προστασία των καταναλωτών και το περιβάλλον. Έναυσμα για την παρούσα εργασία απετέλεσε το έντονο ενδιαφέρον που παρουσιάζουν διεπιστημονικά για το δίκαιο, την οικονομία και την γεωργική ανάπτυξη. Επιχειρείται κατ’ αρχάς η αποσαφήνιση των όρων που σχετίζονται με τις ΓΕ και εν συνεχεία η επισκόπηση της νομοθεσίας, εθνικής, κοινοτικής και διεθνούς, που τις διέπει, αλλά και του πολλαπλού οφέλους που συνεπάγονται. Στόχος είναι να αναδειχθεί εν τέλει το κατά πόσο υπό το συγκεκριμένο νομοθετικό πλαίσιο, επιτυγχάνεται η προστασία των ΓΕ και ο θετικός αντίκτυπός τους στους παραγωγούς, τους καταναλωτές και το κοινωνικό σύνολο. Στην προσπάθεια αυτή αξιοποιήθηκε βιβλιογραφία και αρθρογραφία, ελληνική και ξενόγλωσση, καθώς και συναφείς έρευνες και μελέτες περιπτώσεων.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedGeographical Indications and Designations of Origin are collective intellectual property rights of producers of agri-food and drink products whose reputation or qualities derive from their close link to the place of production. Over the years they have been the subject of legislation which, in today's globalised environment, requires convergence and agreement between States in order to enable the protection of GIs and the exploitation of their potential benefits. They give distinction and added value to the products they characterize and are linked to economic, consumer protection and environmental parameters. The impetus for this work was the strong interdisciplinary interest in law, economics and agricultural development. An attempt is made first to clarify the terms related to GIs and then to review the legislation, national, european and international, that governs them and the multiple benefits they entail. The ultimate aim is to show whether the protection of GIs and their positive impact on producers, consumers and society as a whole is being achieved under this legislative framework. In this effort, bibliography and publications, both in Greek and foreign languages, as well as relevant researches and case studies were used.el
