dc.description.abstractΗ εξωτερική πολιτική της Ελλάδας κατά το τελευταίο τρίτο του 19ου αιώνα χαρακτηρίζεται από την απόσταση ανάμεσα στο επιθυμητό και το εφικτό, ανάμεσα στο στόχο και την προετοιμασία για την επίτευξή του και ανάμεσα στα όνειρα και την πραγματικότητα. Για να κατανοήσει κανείς τα γεγονότα που σχετίζονται με την εξωτερική πολιτική και τις συναφείς διπλωματικές διεργασίες και στρατιωτικές δράσεις, πρέπει να λάβει υπόψη του και πολλές άλλες παραμέτρους, όπως οι θεσμοί και το πολιτικό, διπλωματικό και νομικό πλαίσιο μέσα στα οποία εντάσσονται. Ένα από τα πολιτικά πρόσωπα, που έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο εκείνη την περίοδο, υπήρξε και ο Θεόδωρος Δηλιγιάννης, η δράση του οποίου στον τομέα της εξωτερικής πολιτικής, περιέχουσα επιτυχίες και αποτυχίες, αναπτύσσεται στην παρούσα εργασία.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThe foreign policy of Greece during the last third of the 19th century is characterized by the distance existing between the desired and the achievable, between the goal and the preparation for its achievement, and between dreams and reality. In order to understand the events related to foreign policy and the related diplomatic processes and military actions, one must take under consideration many other parameters, such as the institutions and the political, diplomatic and legal framework within which they are embedded. One of the political figures who played an important role during that period was Theodore Deliyannis, whose actions in the field of foreign policy, consisting of both successes and failures, are developed in the present master’s thesis.el
