dc.description.abstractΣκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας είναι η διερεύνηση της τρέχουσας κατάστασης της νεανικής ανεργίας και του φαινομένου των ΝΕΕΤ στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και την Ελλάδα, οι διαφοροποιήσεις που προέκυψαν από την οικονομική κρίση ανάμεσα στον ευρωπαϊκό Βορρά και τον μεσογειακό Νότο, καθώς και η πιθανότητα η Δια Βίου Μάθηση να αποτελέσει μια βιώσιμη λύση για την αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος. Η παρούσα μελέτη συνδυάζει τη βιβλιογραφική επισκόπηση με τη συλλογή, ανάλυση και ερμηνεία ποσοτικών δεδομένων, επιδιώκοντας μια σφαιρική κατανόηση του υπό εξέταση φαινομένου. Από τα αποτελέσματα της μελέτης προκύπτουν τα εξής: Παρά τη σημαντική βελτίωση που σημειώθηκε στα συνολικά ποσοστά ανεργίας και ΝΕΕΤ κατά την τελευταία δεκαετία, εξακολουθούν να παρατηρούνται σημαντικές αποκλίσεις μεταξύ των χωρών της Ε.Ε. (βορρά-νότου) υποδηλώνοντας τις άνισες επιπτώσεις της οικονομικής κρίσης καθώς και την ύπαρξη δομικών /διαρθρωτικών ζητημάτων στις οικονομίες και τα κράτη πρόνοιας. Η Δια Βίου Μάθηση και η ΕΕΚ αποκτούν αύξουσα σημασία, καθώς επιχειρούν να γεφυρώσουν την Εκπαίδευση με τις ανάγκες της αγοράς εργασίας. Η συνεισφορά τους στην (επαν)ένταξη των ανέργων και των νέων ΝΕΕΤ κρίνεται κομβικής σημασίας και γίνεται στρατηγική της Ε.Ε. Ωστόσο, συνιστούν «αναγκαία αλλά όχι ικανή συνθήκη» για την αντιμετώπιση του φαινομένου ΝΕΕΤ, αφού είναι πολυδιάστατο και απαιτείται συνδυασμός ενεργητικών πολιτικών για την επίτευξη ατομικής ευημερίας, οικονομικής προόδου και κοινωνικής συνοχής.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThe purpose of this research is to investigate the current situation of youth unemployment and the NEET phenomenon in the European Union and Greece, the differences that emerged from the economic crisis between the European North and the Mediterranean South, as well as the possibility that Lifelong Learning could be a sustainable solution to address the problem. This study combines a literature review with the collection, analysis and interpretation of quantitative data, seeking a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon under consideration. The results of the study show the following: Despite the significant improvement in overall unemployment and NEET rates over the last decade, significant discrepancies are still observed between the EU countries (north-south), indicating the unequal impact of the economic crisis as well as the existence of structural issues in the economies and welfare states. Lifelong Learning and VET are gaining increasing importance as they attempt to bridge Education with the needs of the labour market. Their contribution to the (re)integration of the unemployed and young NEETs is considered to be of key importance and is becoming an EU strategy. However, they constitute a “necessary but not sufficient condition” for addressing the NEET phenomenon, since it is multidimensional and requires a combination of active policies to achieve individual well-being, economic progress and social cohesion.el
