| dc.description.abstract | Η ΕΠΕΚ στην κρίσιμη μεταβατική συγκυρία της μετεμφυλιακής περιόδου, επιχείρησε να εκφράσει με ενωτικό τρόπο το Κέντρο, συσπειρώνοντας τις προοδευτικές και τις κεντροαριστερές πολιτικές δυνάμεις. Στο κυβερνητικό της πρόγραμμα τα μέτρα επιείκειας και λήθης, η οικονομική ανασυγκρότηση, η ισονομία, η ισοπολιτεία και η κοινωνική δικαιοσύνη, αποτελούσαν θεμελιώδεις προτεραιότητες και έδιναν μια ελπιδοφόρα προοπτική θεμελίωσης ενός δημοκρατικού κράτους, με σεβασμό στα ατομικά δικαιώματα και στις πολιτικές ελευθερίες. Ανασταλτικοί παράγοντες προς την κατεύθυνση αυτή στάθηκαν το Παλάτι, ο Στρατός, ο κορμός του κρατικού μηχανισμού και οι πολυεπίπεδες παρεμβάσεις του αμερικανικού παράγοντα, αλλά και τα προβλήματα ενότητας και εσωτερικής συνοχής της κεντρώας παράταξης. | el |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The National Progressive Center Union (EPEK), during the crucial circumstances of the post - civil war period, attempted to express with a unionist way the political Centre, bringing together the progressive with the centre-left political powers. In its governmental agenda the leniency and oblivion measures, the political rebuilding, the supporting of equal rights, the belief in social equality, and social justice, constituted fundamental priorities and offered a hopeful prospect for the foundation of a democratic state, respecting the individual rights and the political liberties. Inhibitoring factors towards this directions, were the Palace, the Army, the base of the state mechanism and the interventions of the American factor, but also the problems of unity and internal cohesion of the central party. | el |
