dc.description.abstractΗ συγκεκριμένη εργασία εξετάζει την κλιματική κρίση και τον ρόλο των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας (ΑΠΕ) ως μέτρο αντιμετώπισής της. Η περίπτωση που εξετάζεται πιο συγκεκριμένα είναι η περιφερειακή ενότητα της Κρήτης. Ειδικότερα, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο, αναλύεται η έννοια της κλιματικής κρίσης, η εξέλιξή της ιστορικά, καθώς και τα αίτια και οι επιπτώσεις της. Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά γίνεται και στις πολιτικές που ακολουθούνται πλέον για το εξεταζόμενο θέμα σε παγκόσμιο, ευρωπαϊκό και εθνικό επίπεδο. Το δεύτερο κεφάλαιο εστιάζει στις Ανανεώσιμες Πηγές Ενέργειας ως μέσο βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης και αντιμετώπισης της κλιματικής κρίσης. Παρουσιάζονται πιο αναλυτικά τα είδη των ανανεώσιμων πηγών όπως για παράδειγμα η αιολική και η ηλιακή ενέργεια. Επιπλέον, εξετάζεται το περιεχόμενο και ο ρόλος των διεθνών κινήσεων και πιστοποιήσεων σε επίπεδο κρατών και διεθνών οργανισμών για την αντιμετώπιση της κλιματικής αλλαγής και τη μετάβαση στη βιώσιμη ενεργειακή ανάπτυξη. Το επόμενο κεφάλαιο περιγράφει τη βάση δημιουργίας και εξέλιξης της παρούσας εργασίας. Ουσιαστικά, αναφέρεται στο σκεπτικό, στον σκοπό, στη μεθοδολογία της έρευνας, θέτοντας και τα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα που θέλησε να απαντήσει η παρούσα εργασία. Το τέταρτο κεφάλαιο και το πέμπτο κεφάλαιο κάνουν εστιάζουν στο ενεργειακό προφίλ και περιβάλλον της Κρήτης. Αρχικά στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται πρώτα τα γενικά χαρακτηριστικά του μέρους, τα οποία θα βοηθήσουν να κατανοήσουμε το ενεργειακό προφίλ της Κρήτης έτσι όπως έχει διαμορφωθεί και έτσι όπως σχεδιάζεται τα επόμενα χρόνια. Παρατηρούνται οι ιδιαιτερότητες του νησιού και οι παράγοντες που επιβαρύνουν την κλιματική κρίση στο νησί. Επιπλέον, εξετάζεται και η εξάρτησή του από τις συμβατικές μορφές ενέργειας αλλά και η προσπάθεια για να αναπτύξει τις ανανεώσιμες πηγές. Το πέμπτο και τελευταίο κεφάλαιο εστιάζει στις δυνατότητες αξιοποίησης που έχει η κάθε ανανεώσιμη Πηγή Ενέργειας στην Κρήτη, αναλύοντας τα έργα που ήδη υπάρχουν ή γίνονται στους τομείς της υδροηλεκτρικής, ηλιακής, αιολικής, βιομάζας, γεωθερμικής και παλιρροιακής ενέργειας και αναπτύσσοντας τις προοπτικές που μπορούν να προοδεύσουν στο μέλλον. Η εργασία στο σύνολό της αναδεικνύει το μεγάλο πρόβλημα της κλιματικής κρίσης και στην Κρήτη και εξετάζει πως η ανανεώσιμες πηγές ενέργειας μπορούν να είναι ωφέλιμες στο νησί με τα λιγότερα προβλήματα που φέρνουν μαζί τους, ώστε να υπάρξει πραγματικά βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη μέσα από τις Ανανεώσιμες Πηγές Ενέργειας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis paper examines the climate crisis and the role of renewable energy sources (RES) as a measure to address it. The case that is examined more specifically is the regional unit of Crete. In particular, in the first chapter, the concept of the climate crisis, its historical evolution, as well as its causes and elements are analyzed. Particular reference is also made to the policies that are now being followed for the issue under consideration at the global, national and national levels. The second chapter focuses on Renewable Energy Sources as a means of sustainable development and addressing the climate crisis. The types of renewable sources, such as wind and solar energy, are presented in more detail. In addition, the content and role of international movements and certifications at the level of states and international organizations for addressing climate change and the transition to sustainable energy development are examined. The next chapter describes the basis for the creation and development of this work. Essentially, it refers to the rationale, purpose, and methodology of the research, posing the research questions that this work sought to answer. The fourth and fifth chapters focus on the energy profile and environment of Crete. Initially, the fourth chapter first presents the general characteristics of the area, which will help us understand the energy profile of Crete as it has been formed and as it is planned in the coming years. The particularities of the island and the factors that burden the climate crisis on the island are observed. In addition, its dependence on conventional forms of energy and the effort to develop renewable sources are examined. The fifth and final chapter focuses on the potential for exploitation of each renewable energy source in Crete, analyzing the projects that already exist or are being carried out in the fields of hydroelectric, solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and tidal energy and developing the prospects that can progress in the future. The work as a whole highlights the major problem of the climate crisis in Crete and examines how renewable energy sources can be beneficial to the island with the fewest problems they bring with them, so that there can be truly sustainable development through Renewable Energy Sources.el
