dc.description.abstractΣκοπός της διπλωματικής αυτής εργασίας είναι η μελέτη της εμβληματικής προσωπικότητας στον τομέα των θετικών επιστημών και πιο συγκεκριμένα των Μαθηματικών, του Κωνσταντίνου Καραθεοδωρή. Μέσω της εργασίας αυτής πρόκειται να σκιαγραφηθεί το πορτρέτο του σπουδαίου Έλληνα μαθηματικού, ενώ θα αναλυθεί διεξοδικά τόσο η διεθνής πορεία του στον ακαδημαϊκό χώρο, όσο και η επιστημονική του δραστηριότητα και το έργο του. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση θα δοθεί στη σχέση του σπουδαίου Έλληνα μαθηματικού με τον μεγάλο Άλμπερτ Αϊνστάιν και πως αυτή καθόρισε την πορεία των δύο επιστημόνων.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThe purpose of this thesis is to study the emblematic personality in the field of the sciences and more specifically Mathematics, Konstantinos Karatheodoris. Through this thesis, the portrait of the great Greek mathematician will be sketched, while his international career in academia as well as his scientific activity and his work will be analysed in detail. Particular emphasis will be placed on the relationship between the great Greek mathematician and the great Albert Einstein and how this determined the course of the two scientists.el
