| dc.description.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Ολοένα και περισσότερα παιδιά και έφηβοι διαγιγνώσκονται με ΣΔ1 και ΣΔ2. Συνεπώς κρίνεται σημαντική η διαχείριση του διαβήτη στο σχολικό περιβάλλον. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας είναι να εξεταστεί ο ρόλος του σχολικού νοσηλευτή στη διαχείριση του ΣΔ1 και ΣΔ2 σε μαθητές (παιδιά και εφήβους). Μέθοδος: Διεξήχθη μία οριοθετημένη ανασκόπηση στις βάσεις δεδομένων PubMed, ScienceDirect, Taylor&Francis, Emerald, SSRN, ResearchGate για τα έτη 2020-2025. Από την αναζήτηση προέκυψαν 28 μελέτες, από τις οποίες οι 12 πληρούσαν τα κριτήρια συμπερίληψης. Αποτελέσματα: Ο σχολικός νοσηλευτής μπορεί να παρέχει βοήθεια και εκπαίδευση τόσο στους μαθητές, όσο και στους γονείς αυτών, με αποτέλεσμα το υψηλό αίσθημα ασφάλειας και ικανοποίησης μαθητών και γονέων από την καλύτερη διαχείριση του διαβήτη. Επίσης, η παρουσία του σχολικού νοσηλευτή οδηγεί σε μειωμένες απουσίες των μαθητών που σχετίζονται με τη νόσο τους, σε υψηλότερες ακαδημαϊκές επιδόσεις, στη βελτίωση και υποστήριξη της παρακολούθησης του θεραπευτικού σχήματος που ακολουθούν οι μαθητές. Επιπλέον, εντοπίστηκαν περιοριστικοί παράγοντες που άπτονται του σχολικού πλαισίου, των γονέων, της απουσίας υποστήριξης από το σύστημα υγείας, αλλά και την έλλειψη επαρκούς εκπαίδευσης των νοσηλευτών. Εκτός των ανωτέρω, διαπιστώθηκε μία έλλειψη μελετών τα τελευταία πέντε έτη που να εξετάζουν τις ανάγκες παιδιών και γονέων με ΣΔ σε αντιστοιχία με την ικανοποίηση αυτών των αναγκών από τους σχολικούς νοσηλευτές. Συμπεράσματα: Διαπιστώνεται η αναγκαιότητα περαιτέρω εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης των σχολικών νοσηλευτών, καθώς και η εφαρμογή του επικεντρωμένου στον μαθητή πλαισίου σχολικής νοσηλευτικής πρακτικής για τον 21ο αιώνα. | dc.description.abstracttranslated | Introduction: More and more children and adolescents are diagnosed with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Therefore, the management of diabetes in the school environment is considered important. Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the role of the school nurse in the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in students (children and adolescents). Method: A scoping review was conducted in the PubMed, Science Direct, Taylor & Francis, Emerald, SSRN, Research Gate databases for the years 2020-2025. The search yielded 28 studies, of which 12 met the inclusion criteria. Results: School nurse can provide assistance and education to both students and their parents, resulting in a high sense of security and satisfaction of students and parents from better diabetes management. Moreover, the presence of the school nurse leads to reduced absences of students related to their disease, higher academic performance, and improvement and support in monitoring the treatment regimen followed by students. In addition, limiting factors related to the school context, parents, the absence of support from the health system, and the lack of adequate training of nurses were identified. Apart from the above, a lack of studies in the last five years examining the needs of children and parents with DM in relation to the satisfaction of these needs by school nurses was identified. Conclusions: There is a need for further education and training of school nurses, as well as the implementation of the student-centered framework of school nursing practice for the 21st century.
