dc.description.abstractΗ παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εξετάζει τη σχολική ευημερία και το ρόλο της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης στην ενίσχυσή της, με μελέτη περίπτωσης τον Δήμο Παγγαίου. Στόχος της είναι η διερεύνηση των απόψεων των εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας και δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης σχετικά με τις σημαντικότερες διαστάσεις της σχολικής ευημερίας, τον τρόπο με τον οποίο η Τ.Α. συμβάλλει σε αυτήν καθώς και στις προσφερόμενες από την αποκέντρωση αρμοδιοτήτων δυνατότητες προς τους Ο.Τ.Α. Η έρευνα είναι ποσοτική και πραγματοποιήθηκε μέσω ερωτηματολογίου, το οποίο διανεμήθηκε στους εκπαιδευτικούς του Δήμου Παγγαίου. Τα δεδομένα αναλύθηκαν με περιγραφικές και επαγωγικές στατιστικές μεθόδους, επιτρέποντας την αποτύπωση βασικών τάσεων και διαφορών, ανάλογα με τα δημογραφικά χαρακτηριστικά των συμμετεχόντων. Τα αποτελέσματα κατέδειξαν ότι οι εκπαιδευτικοί αναγνωρίζουν τη συμβολή της Τοπικής Αυτοδιοίκησης κυρίως στη λειτουργία και υποστήριξη των σχολείων, ενώ θεωρούν απαραίτητη την ενίσχυση της χρηματοδότησης, των υποδομών και των κοινωνικών παρεμβάσεων. Τονίζουν επίσης τη σημασία των ψυχοκοινωνικών παραμέτρων, όπως η προαγωγή της ψυχικής υγείας και οι καλές σχέσεις μεταξύ των μελών της σχολικής κοινότητας. Η αποκέντρωση αρμοδιοτήτων θεωρείται δυνατό μέτρο ενδυνάμωσης του ρόλου των Ο.Τ.Α., εφόσον αυτή συνοδεύεται από επαρκείς πόρους και θεσμική θωράκιση.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis thesis examines school well-being and the role of local governance in enhancing it, with a case study of the Municipality of Paggaio. Its aim is to explore the views of primary and secondary education teachers regarding the most significant dimensions of school well-being, the ways in which local governance contributes to it, and the opportunities that the decentralization of responsibilities to local authorities may offer. The study follows a quantitative approach and was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to educators in the Municipality of Paggaio. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, allowing for the identification of key trends and differences according to participants’ demographic characteristics. The results indicate that educators recognize the contribution of local governance primarily in the operation and support of schools, while emphasizing the need for enhanced funding, infrastructure, and social interventions. They also highlight the importance of psychosocial factors, such as mental health and positive relationships among members of the school community. The decentralization of responsibilities is considered a potential measure for strengthening the role of local authorities, provided it is accompanied by adequate resources and institutional support.el
