dc.description.abstractOver the last two decades, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps asserted a central role in the tumultuous landscape of the Middle East. This study delves into the transformative influence of the IRGC and its pivotal role in reshaping Iran's regional dynamics, focusing particularly on the transitions that the IRGC was brought through from 2005 to 2020. From its origins as a guardian of the nascent Islamic Republic in 1979, the IRGC has experienced a profound evolution, emerging as a potent political and economic actor in Iran. By exploring these aspects, this study aims to offer insight into the multifaceted IRGC and its profound impact on shaping regional dynamics in a region marked by volatility and uncertainty.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedΤις τελευταίες δύο δεκαετίες, οι Φρουροί της Ισλαμικής Επανάστασης του Ιράν διεκδικούν κεντρικό ρόλο στο ταραγμένο τοπίο της Μέσης Ανατολής Η παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζει τη μετασχηματιστική επιρροή των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης και την κομβική τους παρουσία στην αναδιαμόρφωση της περιφερειακής δυναμικής του Ιράν και ειδικότερα τις μεταβολές που χαρακτηρίζουν την περίοδο από το 2005 έως το 2020. Από τις απαρχές τoυ, ως φύλακας της εκκολαπτόμενης Ισλαμικής Δημοκρατίας το 1979, το Σώμα των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης γνώρισε μια βαθιά εξέλιξη, αναδεικνυόμενο σε ισχυρό πολιτικό και οικονομικό παράγοντα στο Ιράν. Διερευνώντας αυτές τις πτυχές, η παρούσα μελέτη έχει ως στόχο να αποδώσει την πολυδιάστατη εικόνα των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης και του βαθύτατου αντίκτυπού τους στη διαμόρφωση της περιφερειακής δυναμικής σε μια περιοχή που χαρακτηρίζεται από αστάθεια και αβεβαιότητα.el
