dc.description.abstractΠερίληψη Το ενδιαφέρον της ερευνητικής εργασίας επικεντρώθηκε στη διερεύνηση της σχέσης ανάμεσα στην αφήγηση Μύθων και Ιστοριών και την επιρροή που ασκεί στην ιδιαίτερα επιβαρυντική ψυχολογική κατάσταση που βιώνουν οι ασθενείς με καρκίνο και τη δυνατότητα να δημιουργηθούν νέες συνθήκες και ευκαιρίες για ενθάρρυνση και εμψύχωση των ασθενών. Οι άνθρωποι ακούν ιστορίες από τα πρώιμα χρόνια της ζωής τους και αλληλεπιδρούν κατασκευάζοντας τις προσωπικές τους ιστορίες, με συνέπεια να δημιουργούν νόημα από αυτές. Στόχος της μελέτης αυτής ήταν η αναδιαμόρφωση παλαιών επιβαρυντικών πεποιθήσεων, σε νέες σκέψεις υποστηρικτικές και περισσότερο εμψυχωτικές για τους ίδιους τους ασθενείς και τις οικογένειές τους. Η ερευνήτρια στη μελέτη αυτή έλαβε υπόψη και αξιοποίησε το πολιτισμικό, κοινωνικό, ιστορικό, και μορφωτικό επίπεδο των ασθενών και έδειξε τον απαιτούμενο σεβασμό στο φύλο και τη φυλή τους. Σύμφωνα με τον William James(1890)αμερικανό φιλόσοφο και ψυχολόγο, η εμπειρία του ανθρώπου διαμορφώνει την προσωπικότητά του και το φυσικό του περιβάλλον και οι ψυχικές δυνατότητες του καθορίζουν τον εαυτό του και τις διαθέσεις του. Η ερευνήτρια χρησιμοποίησε την ποιοτική έρευνα θεωρώντας την κατάλληλη για την αξιολόγηση των αποτελεσμάτων της ερευνητικής της εργασίας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedAbstract The current research is focused on the investigation of the relationship between myth, storytelling and their influence in the significantly burdened psychological state of cancer patients, including the prospect of creating new conditions and opportunities to inspire and encourage patients. People listen to stories since the early days of their lives, interact by creating their personal stories, and consequently extracting meanings out of these stories. The aim of this study is to transform the longstanding and troubling beliefs of the patients into new, supportive and more inspiring thoughts for themselves and their families. The political, social, historical and educational level of the patients has been taken under consideration, while the researcher respected all relevant racial and gender issues. According to William James (1890), American philosopher and psychologist, our experiences shape our personality and our natural environment, whereas our mental abilities define ourselves and our attitude. The researcher employed qualitative research as the most appropriate method for evaluation of the research results.el
