| dc.description.abstract | Στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η εξερεύνηση του φαινομένου της ανάπτυξης των κρυπτονομισμάτων μέσω της μελέτης της περίπτωσης του Bitcoin που αποτελεί το σημείο αναφοράς στον κόσμο των κρυπτονομισμάτων. Για την επίτευξη του παραπάνω στόχου γίνεται ανάλυση τόσο στη δομή όσο και στον τρόπο λειτουργίας του Bitcoin. Σε συνέχεια των παραπάνω παρουσιάζονται τα κυριότερα πλεονέκτημα και μειονεκτήματα του Bitcoin ενώ επιπλέον παρουσιάζονται και οι αντιδράσεις των κυβερνήσεων στο σχετικά νέο φαινόμενο των κρυπτονομισμάτων. | dc.description.abstracttranslated | The aim of this thesis is to explore the phenomenon of cryptocurrency growth through the study of the Bitcoin case that is the reference point in the world of cryptocurrencies. To achieve this goal, we analyze both Bitcoin's structure and operating mode. Following are the main advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin, and the reactions of governments to the relatively new phenomenon of cryptocurrencies are also presented.
