dc.description.abstractΗ παρούσα εργασία αναφέρεται στη ρωσική εισβολή στην Ουκρανία που ξεκίνησε στις 22 Φεβρουαρίου του 2022 και στην επίδραση που άσκησε αυτή στις χώρες των Δυτικών Βαλκανίων. Πιο αναλυτικά, εξετάζει την πορεία του πολέμου στην Ουκρανία, αναλύοντας κάποια από τα πιο σημαντικά γεγονότα και μάχες που πραγματοποιήθηκαν μέχρι και τον Ιούνιο του 2024. Έπειτα, γίνεται αναφορά στις ενέργειες και τις αποφάσεις της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης και των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών Αμερικής για τον περιορισμό των επιπτώσεων που θα μπορούσε να έχει αυτός ο πόλεμος σε γειτονικές χώρες. Ωστόσο, πέρα από την ΕΕ και τις ΗΠΑ, χώρες των Δυτικών Βαλκανίων -όπως η Σερβία, το Μαυροβούνιο και η Βοσνία Ερζεγοβίνη- αντέδρασαν με διάφορους τρόπους στη ρωσική εισβολή, καθώς η καθεμία από αυτές προσέβλεπε στο να κερδίσει κάτι διαφορετικό. Τέλος, η εργασία αναφέρεται αναλυτικά στην επίδραση που άσκησε ο πόλεμος στην Ουκρανία, στις τρεις παραπάνω χώρες των Δυτικών Βαλκανίων, αν σκεφτούμε τις ιστορικές σχέσεις τους και τη σημαντική επιρροή της Ρωσίας Ομοσπονδίας σε αυτές.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis paper refers to the Russian invasion of Ukraine that began on February 22, 2022 and the impact it had on the Western Balkan countries. In more detail, it examines the course of the war in Ukraine, analyzing some of the most important events and battles that took place until June 2024. Then, reference is made to the actions and decisions of the European Union and the United States of America to limit the effects that this war could have on neighboring countries. However, beyond the EU and the US, countries in the Western Balkans -such as Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina- reacted to the Russian invasion in different ways, as each of them looked to gain something different. Lastly, the paper refers in detail, to the effect that the war in Ukraine had on the three Western Balkan countries above, if we think about their historical relations and the significant influence of the Russian Federation on them.el
