dc.description.abstractΑντικείμενο της παρούσας διατριβής είναι η ερμηνεία, η λειτουργία κι επίδραση των έρ-γων πολιτικής περφόρμανς που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στα Βαλκάνια από το 1970 ως το 2000 με βάση το ιστορικό, κοινωνικό και πολιτικό τους πλαίσιο. Ταυτόχρονα, η διατριβή επιχειρεί να φωτίσει και να συσχετίσει τις εκφράσεις καλλιτεχνικής κριτικής, λαμβάνο-ντας υπόψη τις ομοιότητες και διαφορές των χωρών στις οποίες εμφανίζονται και τις πολιτισμικές ιδιαιτερότητες που παρουσιάζει κάθε μία από αυτές. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός κοινού πλαισίου αναφοράς για τη βαλκανική τέχνη της περφόρ-μανς κατά τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες του 20ού αιώνα. Αρχικά, στο κεφάλαιο της Εισαγω-γής, οριοθετείται εννοιολογικά το πολιτικό, τα Βαλκάνια και την τέχνη της περφόρμανς στο πλαίσιο της παρούσας έρευνας, και στη συνέχεια αναλύονται ορισμένοι καθοριστι-κοί άξονες για τον προσδιορισμό του χαρακτήρα των έργων που μελετώνται στο κύριο σώμα της διατριβής. Στα κεφάλαια που ακολουθούν συζητείται κάθε χώρα των Βαλκα-νίων ξεχωριστά. Τίθεται πρώτα το κοινωνικοπολιτικό και το καλλιτεχνικό πλαίσιο της κάθε χώρας κι έπειτα εξετάζονται μεμονωμένα έργα περφόρμανς που εμπίπτουν στα κριτήρια της έρευνας. Το α΄ μέρος ολοκληρώνεται με την καταγραφή ορισμένων συμπε-ρασμάτων. Το β΄ μέρος αναφέρεται στην έννοια της επανεπιτέλεσης και της επιτελεστι-κότητας του αρχείου. Μετά από αυτή τη θεωρητική πλαισίωση, περιγράφεται αναλυ-τικά η προσέγγιση των τριών έργων που αναδημιούργησα στο πλαίσιο του πρακτικού μέρους του διδακτορικού μου, καθώς και η συζήτηση με το κοινό που διεξήχθη αμέσως μετά την ολοκλήρωση των επανεπιτελέσεων.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThe thesis is an in-depth study of the interpretation, function and impact of the political performance works produced in the Balkans from 1970 to 2000, based on their historical, social and political context. At the same time, it attempts to illuminate and correlate ex-pressions of artistic critique, taking into account the similarities and differences between the countries in which they appear and the cultural specificities of each country. The aim of the thesis is to establish a common frame of reference for Balkan performance art in the last decades of the 20th century. It begins by defining the concept of the political, the Balkans and performance art, and then analyses some key axes for determining the char-acter of the works studied in the main body of the thesis. The following chapters discuss each Balkan country separately. The socio-political and artistic context of each country is first set and then individual performance works that meet the research criteria are exam-ined. Part A wraps up by noting down some conclusions. Part B deals with the notion of reenactment and the performativity of the archive. This theoretical framing is followed by a detailed description of the approach to the three artworks that I recreated as part of the practical component of my PhD as well as the discussion with the audience that took place immediately after the reenactments.el
