dc.description.abstractΗ περίπτωση της Ελλάδος στον τομέα της ενεργούς και ουσιαστικής προσπάθειας της ένταξης των προσφύγων μέσα από την εκπαίδευση υπερβαίνει το απλό ευχής έργο. Η ένταξη του προσφυγικού πληθυσμού κινείται παράλληλα σε πολλά και διαφορετικά επίπεδα και στάδια: δεν αφορά ομοιογενή πληθυσμό ούτε τις ηλικιακές ομάδες κάτω των δεκαοκτώ (18) ετών. Αντίθετα, όταν γίνεται λόγος για εκπαίδευση προσφύγων, η έννοια αυτή μπορεί να εμπερικλείει και την εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων, που προβλέπεται από την αναγκαιότητα εκπαίδευσης, επανεκπαίδευσης του ενήλικου προσφυγικού πληθυσμού ώστε να ενταχθούν στο κοινωνικό σύνολο, με εφόδια τις επαγγελματικές τους δυνατότητες και δεξιότητες. Η ιδιόμορφη αυτή κατηγορία εκπαίδευσης, στην Ελλάδα, παρά τις δυσχέρειες και τα περιθώρια βελτίωσης, είναι λειτουργική και αποφασισμένη να ολοκληρώσει τον στόχο της. Αυτό καταδεικνύεται από την ίδρυση νεοσύστατων προγραμμάτων σπουδών και/ ή διά βίου μάθησης και επιμόρφωσης, ώστε οι εκπαιδευτικοί να μπορούν να στελεχώσουν τις δομές εκπαίδευσης των προσφύγων. Η προσπάθεια της ελληνικής πολιτείας υπερβαίνει την τυπική μορφή, στην ουσιαστική προσπάθεια ενσωμάτωσης των προσφύγων μαθητών στο εκπαιδευτικό πλαίσιο, μέσα από την ενθάρρυνση των μαθητών να συμμετέχουν στις έξω-σχολικές δραστηριότητες, την εκμάθηση γλωσσών, τις αθλητικές ομάδες. Μόνο μέσα από τη συστηματική προσπάθεια στα δύο αυτά επίπεδα, τυπικό και συστηματικό, είναι δυνατόν να καρποφορήσουν οι προσπάθειες, κοινοτικές, διεθνείς και εγχώριες, για επιτυχία της ένταξης των προσφύγων και την έναρξη της διείσδυσής τους σε κάθε τομέα και έκφανση της ελληνικής κοινωνίας.el
dc.description.abstracttranslatedIn the area of active and purposeful effort for the integration of refugees, via the formal education, the case of the Hellenic state transcends mere wishful thinking: the refugees’ integration into the educative system marches simultaneously, upon many and diverse tiers and stages. Refugees’ education neither addresses to a homogeneous population, not exclusively to the age groups below the level of eighteen (18) years old. On the contrary, when referring to Refugees’ education, this notion can also include Adult Education, that is predicted by the need of educating, re-educating the adult refugees in order for them to be integrated in the host society, equipped with their professional abilities and skills. In Greece, this idiosyncratic category of education, despite its obstacles and shortcomings, is indeed functional and determined to fulfill its purpose. This is proven by the establishment of newly-found study programs of lifelong and/or vocational learning addressed to educators and teachers, in order to staff the refugees’ educational structures. The Hellenic state’s effort transcends the typical aspect to the substantial effort to acculturate the refugee students within the educational context, by further encouraging students to participate in extra-curricular activities, foreign-language-learning groups, and sports teams. It is only through the systematic effort upon those two levels, the formal and the substantial one, that endeavors can yield results-be it European, international and national,, for the successful integration of refugees and their introduction to every sector and aspect of the Hellenic society.el
